Bavovnyash

My name is Ruslan, https://www.facebook.com/Ruslan.Jukhimenko, my father and I are creating a space for emotional relief and relaxation, based on social entrepreneurship - "Bavovnyashka". The social component is to help military personnel, their families and other people who have felt the consequences of the war in Ukraine most, to overcome stress and integrate back into society.

A couple of months before Russia's full-scale attack on Ukraine, I rented a premises where I started renovations with the idea of making a non-profit organization for the development of children and their parents, but the war created many new challenges. One of them: there is already a problem with psychological balance after what has been seen and experienced in these difficult conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder. According to experts' rough estimates, after the war ends, about 5 million Ukrainians will need psychological help. Therefore, even in these difficult financial conditions, military threats and uncertainty, we decided to continue and adapt the project.

"Bavovnyashka" – is a place where you can spend time with loved ones, colleagues and like-minded people and have the opportunity to get rid of negativity without harm to surrounding people by throwing glass or ceramic dishes at images on the wall that cause unpleasant associations, thus symbolically destroying the problem that becomes a stumbling block.

The space is located in an ecologically clean green microdistrict of Kharkiv (near Forest Park, reservoir) and has convenient transport connections.

We also plan to provide psychological relief through board games, active recreation, communication with like-minded people, involving experts in lectures, caring for pets, etc.

My motivation consists of:

1. Desire to help for a better future of Ukraine and restoration of the unbreakable city of Kharkiv.

2. Desire to find a way to help people with post-traumatic stress disorder, especially Ukraine's Defenders.

The premises are already about 60% ready, and 30,000 UAH is the minimum amount needed to complete the renovation by hand and open the space.
