Hot meals for needy residents of Kharkiv
We, Charitable Organization "Wings of Revival - East Charitable Foundation" since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of rf in Ukraine in February 2022, with the resources and forces of our organization and partners provide various assistance to the civilian population of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region, affected by hostilities and terror.
Until August 2022, we worked on our own, as a team of people who cared about the situation in Kharkiv, thanks to the help of our friends and partners who supplied food and fuel. But since late July, the situation with aid became increasingly difficult and we organized into a foundation that began operations in September. Thanks to the transparency of the organization's work, reports on spent funds, photos and videos from residents who receive food, we are helped by Ukrainian and international organizations and foundations.
Daily we prepare and deliver in our cars from 200 to 700 hot meals to needy residents of Kharkiv. Overall, in 9 months of war, our five cooks prepared 95,851 portions of meals.
We carefully select whom to feed, because it's very important to be close to those who really need help.
One such facility is a place where about 60 elderly people with vision problems found shelter. Having gone through the horrors of Kharkiv bombings in the first half year of war, these people are now gradually restoring their psychological state with the support of specialists, but vision and health problems don't allow them to fully return to pre-war life... Our foundation has been helping them since July 2022, preparing full hot meals for them every day.
