STEMpact

We are teams from two NGOs: "STEM-MAKER" and "Innovation Space". We share a common goal: creating space for support, learning and unity of veteran families.
NGO "STEM-MAKER" promotes STEM education and making: we organize workshops, hackathons, exhibitions and camps where children and youth explore robotics, 3D printing, programming and engineering projects. We believe everyone can become a creator and learn to solve problems through technology.
NGO "Innovation Space" focuses on humanitarian missions and psycho-emotional support: we help war victims by providing food and hygiene kits, medicines, clothing and psychological support. We pay special attention to veterans who, returning to peaceful life, need not only medical and material aid, but also new opportunities for family and community integration.
Thus "STEMpact" project was born - a series of workshops where veterans and their families can learn, create and feel part of a community together. Here children see their parents in new roles as researchers, mentors and creators. Adult veterans get a chance to rediscover their strength by mastering new skills and passing experience to younger generations.
We're driven by faith that making can become therapy: when hands are busy creating, hearts find peace, and families find common ground. Our participants will not only build robots or wooden models, but also restore trust and warm family relationships.
We see the project's social impact in three directions:
- for veterans: sense of involvement, new skills development and opportunity to share experience;
- for children: practical STEM competencies and examples of strength and creativity from their parents;
- for communities: stronger families, new initiative communities and spreading culture of mutual support.
We've already implemented dozens of projects, have reporting experience and always share results on social media:
"STEMpact" is where veterans and their families can create, learn, strengthen family bonds and build the future with their own hands.
