STEAM Exhibition at Karazin "Touch Science!"

STEAM Exhibition "Touch Science": Opening New Opportunities for Children of Kharkiv Region
Organizer:
Charitable Organization "Kharkiv Karazin University Foundation"
Our Mission:
The Kharkiv Karazin University Foundation works to preserve the intellectual potential of Kharkiv region and Ukraine and support education during challenging times. Together with the university and partners, we implement educational and scientific initiatives that help students continue learning despite difficulties.
Why is this important?
War has changed the lives of children in Kharkiv region. Destroyed schools, forced distance learning, and anxiety have led to significant educational losses. Nearly 40% of regional schoolchildren have knowledge gaps.
The STEAM exhibition is a chance to restore children's interest in science and learning through engaging interactive experience.
What will the exhibition look like?
The final result will be an interactive exhibition with scientific exhibits, workshops, and practical experiments on alternative energy sources. The exhibition will take place in safe spaces at Karazin University. Here children will be able to:
- Handle exhibits themselves and explore their operation.
- Conduct physics experiments.
- Attend engineering and art workshops.
- Interact with installations demonstrating natural laws and technologies.
What will we do together?
- Create an interactive exhibition with exhibits demonstrating scientific laws, technologies, art, and engineering.
- Conduct workshops and experiments where children can independently test science in action.
- Give schoolchildren, especially those who lost access to quality education, the opportunity to catch up through play, research, and teamwork.
What impact will this have?
- Restoring interest in learning: through play, research, and active participation, children will see that science can be exciting.
- Developing future skills: critical thinking, teamwork, and research approach.
- Supporting families and communities: the event will become a safe and interesting space for children's development and communication with parents.
Join our initiative – together we'll return learning opportunities to children of Kharkiv region!
