"Sunny Childhood"

International Charitable Foundation "Renewed Ukraine" was established to make maximum efforts for Ukraine's victory and further restoration of our State.
Our goal – returning Ukrainians affected by war to happy life.
"Renewed Ukraine" implements the "Sunny Childhood" program aimed at stabilizing the psycho-emotional state of children aged 6 to 14 who suffered as a result of war. The program combines interactive games, art therapy, music therapy, hippotherapy and communication with a psychologist.

Children are one of the most vulnerable population groups. Therefore we must do everything to protect them from the impact of traumatic war events. Children are the future of our country.
As a result of psycho-emotional events experienced during war, children develop socialization disorders, distrust of others, aggression, withdrawal, fear. This is the main problem.
From June 2022 to September 2023, 278 children participated in the "Sunny Childhood" project. We worked with children from Kherson, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Odesa regions and from Odesa, and we are open to children from all over Ukraine.
As one of many examples, our rehabilitation program helped sisters (12 and 13 years old) from Bakhmut. During the dangerous journey Maria began showing epilepsy symptoms, and Anna started stuttering.
The girls were included in the "Sunny Childhood" program. Personal approach including psychological rehabilitation, art therapy and music therapy helped the girls forget negative past experiences, express their feelings, calm down and overcome emotional experiences. During therapy, Maria's epileptic episodes decreased in frequency. Anna made significant progress in overcoming stuttering.
This story is an example of how a comprehensive approach to therapy can help restore health, mental state and quality of life of children who have experienced traumatic events.
We see changes in children's behavior after each session. As a result, we return the child from the shock state they are in to a normal state of ordinary life, to childhood.
