ReBone: custom implants for military 2.0

1 fundraiser = 1 healthy soldier
ReBone is a social medical project aimed at providing wounded soldiers with free access to individual implantation.
War challenges and new solutions
Full-scale war in Ukraine caused hundreds of thousands of complex injuries. According to official data, since 2022 at least 390 thousand military and 30 thousand civilians were affected.
To help people restore their health, CF "Tykho" and Velta Medical launched joint ReBone initiative. This is a social project where team of bioengineers and surgeons creates personalized titanium solutions. Over three years of work in Ukraine, Velta Medical team produced over 200 implants.
Thanks to individual titanium implants and ReBone project, there's a chance to save limbs and restore skull parts even in seemingly "hopeless" cases.
How does the technology work?
Instead of standard prostheses, patients receive implants that perfectly fit their anatomy:
- Modeling: based on CT scan, engineers create 3D model of damaged area.
- Printing: implant and special navigation templates are printed from medical titanium.
- Surgery: full cycle from CT to finished product takes 5 to 14 days, allowing doctors to act quickly.
