UPDATED: The team spent two years developing and implementing the project. Since May 2018, new tickets appeared at Odesa Art Museum. Read the full project implementation report at this link.

The Museum for Change project was created to promote the development of Odesa Art Museum. At this stage, the project team works in two directions: attracting visitors and forming a community of patrons supporting the museum.
Main project goals:
1. Major renovation of the museum building;
2. Multiple increase in museum attendance;
3. Art museum as the center of cultural life of the city and region.
Today, Odesa Art Museum, like all state museums in the country, uses an outdated ticket sales system.
The Museum for Change team together with "Rika-consulting" company developed a plan to introduce an automated ticket sales system at Odesa Art Museum. "Rika-consulting" provides all software worth over 500,000 UAH for free, while Museum for Change together with Odesa residents hopes to raise 37,244 UAH to purchase and transfer necessary equipment to the Museum's balance.

Introducing an automated ticket sales system will solve several important tasks. The first is rebranding and changing the appearance of tickets, which will change visitors' first impression of the museum. Today, the museum uses tickets issued in the 1980s.

The new system will facilitate data collection on museum attendance, making it possible to identify the most visited day, time, month. This will help create a relevant and effective marketing strategy for promoting the museum.
And of course, the convenience of the system saves a lot of working time for museum staff when preparing financial reports for inspecting authorities.
This is how new tickets will look
The necessity of modernizing the museum's ticket sales system is obvious. The Art Museum should work primarily for visitors. Increasing visitor comfort is the museum's priority task. In the future, the museum should multiply its attendance and the old system won't be able to handle all visitors, while the new one will avoid queues and negative visitor feedback.
Odesa Art Museum is visited by more than 60,000 people per year. Each visitor receives a pack of Soviet-era coupons printed in the 1980s. Upon receiving such tickets, visitors become disoriented, not understanding what these tickets are for and which parts of the exhibition they cover.
This is how tickets look now.
This is one obvious reason why it's important to introduce a modern ticket sales system. And of course, together with museum administration we developed a new modern ticket design. Such a ticket is worth keeping as a memento of the visit, and for many tourists who collect tickets from various museums worldwide, it will be a reminder of our city.
Besides updated tickets, it's important for the museum to keep statistics that would help develop marketing strategy (determining optimal working hours, analyzing attendance). The automated ticket sales system allows maintaining such statistics online.
Additionally, the automated ticket sales system can significantly ease museum staff work when preparing financial reports.
We do everything possible to make Odesa Art Museum the best in Ukraine. Therefore, it's important that the best museum has the best tickets!
1. Ordering ticket blanks;
2. Purchasing necessary equipment;
3. System installation and staff training.
