"Happy Christmas Workshop" is a 10-day winter camp in the Carpathians for 80 orphans, children affected by war, displaced children and children in difficult life circumstances. The camp is created as a safe space where children can feel support, care, stability and the atmosphere of a real Christmas.

The camp combines psychological recovery, festive traditions, teamwork, creativity and life skills development. For many children who often don't have the opportunity to spend winter holidays in a family circle, this program becomes a place where they can experience acceptance, warmth and attention.

The project's goal is to create conditions where children from vulnerable categories can recover emotionally, find new friends, feel safe and spend time in a supportive environment. The program aims to develop confidence, communication skills, teamwork abilities and capacity to cope with stress.

Main program components

1. Psychological activities and support

The camp conducts daily group sessions and exercises aimed at supporting children's emotional state. Children learn to recognize and express their feelings, work on overcoming anxiety, learn self-regulation skills and stress resilience. In a friendly, safe atmosphere they get the opportunity to share experiences, talk about important things and receive support from adult mentors and psychologists.

The program helps children stabilize their emotional state, restore a sense of safety and build inner resilience.

2. Creative and developmental workshops

Children participate in master classes, group projects, collaborative games, creative tasks and activities that develop imagination, collaboration skills and self-expression.

Here children can try new roles, discover talents and create their own little Christmas miracles.

3. Christmas festive program

At the center of the camp is creating the atmosphere of traditional Ukrainian Christmas.

Children together prepare nativity scenes, carols, Christmas decorations, participate in shared evenings, exchange symbolic gifts and learn to create celebrations with their own hands.

This helps feel unity, warmth and joy of festive days.

4. Sports and winter activities

Daily children will participate in skiing or snowboarding (by choice and ability), under the supervision of instructors and mentors.

These are activities that help develop balance, self-confidence, endurance and bring strong positive emotions.

Additionally, the program includes winter walks, active games and team sports tasks that promote health, friendship and emotional relief.

5. Interaction with mentors

Young people join the camp organization — scholarship recipients and former participants of Help Us Help programs, who are now volunteers. They become role models for children, support them in team tasks, share experience and help create an atmosphere of trust and mutual support.
