We work with initiatives that are ready for openness, collaboration, and real impact. Below are the basic application requirements and factors that can help your project gain more support.
If some conditions are not met, we won't just decline your application — we'll provide recommendations for improvement, after which you can return to crowdfunding.
You have a team
At least 2 people working together on the project (for campaigns over UAH 100,000 — at least 3).
Your project already has an audience
Active social media with 500+ followers — your first circle of support.
You're ready to stay in touch
Regularly update your audience on the campaign progress — several times a week.
You're open to being public
Willing to talk about your project, answer questions, and take responsibility for your reputation.
You work transparently
You show how the project progresses, how funds are used, and provide full reporting after the campaign ends.
Previous fundraising experience
You've already run a crowdfunding campaign and understand how it works from the inside.
Alignment with priority themes
If your project fits one of the platform's focus areas, it receives additional attention from the team.
Experience in public reporting
You've reported to donors or grant providers before — a sign of team maturity and serious intent.
An engaged core community
There are people already following you, interacting with your content, and trusting you.
Systemic, not one-time work
Your project is part of long-term activity, showing that resources will continue to create impact.

The author community is a circle of changemakers who already have experience launching projects and continue growing together with My City. Access is granted after relaunching a project at the Regular Practice level or immediately at the Institutional Partner level.
Here, you exchange experience, receive support, and gain more growth opportunities. The community brings together people who take responsibility for their initiatives, work systematically, deliver measurable results, and support a culture of giving.
The Project Support Fund is a mechanism that strengthens projects already demonstrating results. It becomes available at the Regular Practice and Institutional Partner levels and helps co-finance initiatives that have already raised a significant portion of their goal.
If an initiative does not reach its goal, the raised funds are not lost — they are transferred to the Project Support Fund and redistributed among successful projects. This ensures that donors' contributions are preserved and directed where they can create real impact.
From time to time, the My City team organizes various project pitchings. Some offer co-funding opportunities, while others provide expert feedback from a jury and guidance for further promotion.
The opportunity to participate in pitchings becomes available at the Regular Practice and Institutional Partner levels.
The next level is about greater scale, a stronger community, and more systematic work. Typically, this means launching new campaigns, developing your team, and strengthening communication and transparency. We support authors who keep moving forward — through education, partnerships, and additional opportunities.
Specific conditions for each level are described in the support packages.
This doesn't mean your idea isn't worth pursuing — it simply means there may be a better tool for it.
